Opportunity is NOWHERE? Opportunity is NOW HERE!
Opportunity is all around you. If you are someone who has grown up in a small town in the beauty of the South West of England, a place where a lot of people don’t often want to get out or get on, but YOU want to move on, YOUR aspirations and goals are higher, you simply have to start thinking in an open minded way. Small town thinking can reduce the size of your thinking – not for everyone of course, but you need to get out with an open mind, and see more of the world and what opportunity is waiting for you.
Nelson Mandela once said, “I never lose. I either win, or learn.” What a great mindset – a positive attitude that turns what some would perceive as “failure” into opportunity.
Think of a swinging pendulum ball set – if you drop one ball, one will come back on the other side. The same will happen if you drop 2, 3, or 4… Energy that goes out = energy that comes back! If you’re not happy with what you are getting, focus on what you are giving. By driving yourself out and searching for more of what you want, you will see more coming back in abundance.
Phil Knight founded Nike with $500. An amazing quote of his is:
“We’re on offence. All the time. If we do the right things, we’ll make money damn near automatic. It won’t be pretty.”
I love that. Opportunity is beckoning, and what might be holding you back is simply, YOU! Your mindset. Your attitude. Your work ethic.
And how about this from Mother Teresa for inspiration:
“People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
