Gabriel Wondrausch has worked in renewable energy since long before it was famous and he’s an established figure within the industry. He initially qualified as a renewable installer at another company, but quickly felt that there was a gap for a better quality offering. So, in 2005, he founded SunGift Solar.
Find out more about his journey over the past 17 years, some of the ups and the downs, but ultimately – what has Gabriel learnt about business, and himself?

How can businesses use solar power to reduce their environmental impact?
Installing solar panels is a superb way for businesses to generate their own renewable electricity. The solar panels work by converting sunlight into electricity through a process called photovoltaics (PV). Businesses can choose to install solar panels on their rooftops or in open spaces on their property. The choice will depend on the available space, the amount of sunlight the panels can receive, and the cost of installation.
Once the solar panels are installed, the energy generated can be used to power the business’s operations. If the business generates more energy than it needs, it can sell the excess energy back to the grid. This is called net metering and it allows the business to receive credits on their utility bill for the excess energy they produce.
In addition to the environmental benefits of using solar panels, there may also be financial benefits for businesses. The cost of solar panels has decreased in recent years, making it more affordable for businesses to install them. Additionally, businesses may be eligible for government, or local incentives, such as tax credits or rebates, for installing solar panels.
It’s important to note that businesses should consult with a qualified professional to determine if installing solar panels is right for them. The professional can assess the business’s energy needs, the available space for the panels, and provide a cost-benefit analysis to help the business make an informed decision.
